This December 2009, Medica participated at the two biggest shows for pharmaceutical machinery & equipment manufacturers, namely ‘P-MEC INDIA 2009’ & ‘PHARMAceutical Expo 2009’ organized at Mumbai & Ahmedabad respectively. Both the shows are opportunities for the companies in pharma sector not just to display & demonstrate their products & services but to showcase their capability & competence.
These shows highlight the latest knowledge & new development within the Industry to the people like Pharmacists, R & D Professionals, Biotechnology Specialists, Hospital Administrators, Suppliers & Distributors, Purchase Officers of Pharma Companies.
We at Medica Instrument Mfg Co, participated at both these events - where we displayed our latest introductions for the prospective buyers as well as suppliers & dealers.
P-MEC INDIA 2009, organized by UBM India, had over 250 Exhibitors from 19 countries. At Pharmaceutical Expo 2009 we had 280 exhibitors including countries like China, Japan, Italy, Germany & U.A.E.which is organized by FICCI
Comparison between two exhibitions, P-MEC INDIA 2009 has received an overwhelming response & a good foot-fall at the exhibition stalls. The exhibition provides the way for technology transfer and strategic tie-ups between domestic & international manufacturers. Whereas ‘Pharmaceutical Expo 2009’ provides latest advanced technology that is require in research & manufacturing.
P-MEC INDIA 2009 was a business opportunity for both International as well as Indian Exhibitors which shows technical development by Indian as well as International Companies. Hence there are both Indian & Foreign visitors & exhibitors; it assists to collect information of International & Indian Market. Whereas ‘Pharmaceutical Expo 2009’ was more dedicated to new & latest development in India. The expo was helpful to study the Indian Pharma sector as foreign exhibitors are comparatively less & the visitors are from Gujarat region.
On the exhibitors point of view P-MEC INDIA 2009 was a successful exhibition as the visitors are relevant & it helps to explore new market, brand building & collection of market information. In this segment, Pharmaceutical Expo 2009 fails due to the irrelevant visitors like University Students & less numbers of business visitors which doesn’t even help to seek for new buyers & traders.
Trade shows are helpful in Brand building, collection of market information, explore new market & even gives an opportunities to seek new franchise partners or agent. No doubt, both the trade shows are trying to make this true.

Medica Instrument Mfg Co's products are especially know by its flagship brand EQUITRON. The company needs to promote the name of company alongwith its brand in a systematic manner so as the brand and the company both continue to hold their identity.
